Can I be dressy for a steak house dinner?

My fiance's work is having their Christmas dinner at a new steak house. It's a nicer one. Anyway- I was curious if I could get kind-a dressed up for it. I want to wear a black dress. It's a shorter dress (not too short) has a little cream bow in the front. Would this be okay? Also... tan or black nylons? Do you think that pointy sling back shoes are okay with dresses? These are cute black with little black bows.

Oooh... anyone have a hair suggestion also? I have long long thick blond hair. I kind-a want to wear it down because I like my hair. Should I wear it straight, loose curls or curly? All the way down-pieces pinned up- or little black headband with little black bow? Thank you sooo much!

Yes, make sure it's as low cut as possible. Go with the black nylons and the shoes should be fine.

the things women worry about. Just dress as you would. Steak Houses are usually casual dress, not anything fancy. But there is nothing wrong with a dress. I would be weirded out by a guy wearing a suit there. But girls can dress up anytime

Perfect. I think you should go with no nylons but if you must, stick with the tan nylons. Nothing to flashy, I dont think the pointy heel will look good with it. You should keep your hair down with some loose curls and a little black ribbon. have fun. :)

You can be dressy if you want but be aware that you might stick out. Also there tends to be a lot of obese people in those places so you will see a lot of folks in loose fitting exersice clothing.

its sound's like you have your out fit all planned out very nice. go for its dressy but not too much. short dress seems like a good option because a long one or to fancy one would look like your on your way to prom, Lol. and you can never go wrong with black just put on nice bracelet or jewelry to add a sophisticated and classy touch to your out fit ..

i think with your long hair loose curls will be the best option because thight curls might not hold up long ......

i'm not big on bows, but yes, you should dress up a bit. better overdressed than showing up in sweatpants. although i would go with jeans, heels, and a sexy top.
