Has anyone seen the article on Yahoo front page? Patriots fan you should read it, it states that the New England Patriots are beloved in Boston but everywhere else they are hated?
How do you call yourself America's Team?

How can you say not anymore? They have the largest fan base in America. I have never heard any national media call the Patriots America's Team. On the other hand ESPN,Around the horn,PTI,Cold Pizza,Fox sports net and other media outlets still call the Cowboys America's Team

OOps, I agree with the original poster! How long have people been calling us "America's Team"? It didn't just start yesterday, you know??

It's kind of funny that teams like the Cowboys are either "love 'em" or "hate em" and you never run into anyone who says...yeah the Cowboys are ok, I don't mind them. As far as Dallas being America's Team, once upon a time there was this owner named Tex Schram who ran the Cowboys. He advertised the "America's Team" across the country bringing the NFL in general to new markets and helping make the NFL what it is today. That way everyone can enjoy their team. Which is also why the Cowboys have such a huge fan base across the country.
So even if you hate the Cowboys, you still have to give them their due for helping build the NFL up to the best sport in the nation. Go Cowboys!

Dallas shouldn't be called America's Team any more than the Patriots. Every NFL team is America's Team. Football is America's Sport. Every fan thinks their team is the best so it's opinions only!! So what does it really matter?

Dude ask me if I care. Just because the Cowboys are Americas team doesn't mean they will win the Super bowl. They aren't as good as the Patriots.

If it makes all of you feel better, Dallas is called "America's Team."
How about we call the Patriots, "Communist's Team."
Doesn't have the same ring to it, but hey, WHO CARES!!!

america's team is a very stupid term. there is no such thing.
when a team is very good they are beloved by their local fans, and hated almost everywhere else, with the exception of a few long distance fans and a few bandwagoners. so all this "is dallas americas team?" or "new england is not americas team" is foolish and annoying. so ummm, shut up.
oh and your cowboys got punished in irving texas by a better team, so who cares whos "americas team" i hope cowboys make it to super bowl so pats can beat them again. have a nice weekend.

I like how everyone says Dallas is "America's Team". Go to this site and see who wins every year. And this is a national poll, not the Harris poll that only calls 1100 people.
