no one goes to or wants a staff meal, it was a drinks out night tonight, £10 a head and I had no money so could not go, having spent the last of my credit card on my family for christmas (young people like nieces etc) I am stone broke and drinks out felt neither justified nor would I have been able to relax. I cant eat properly again this weekend.

There is another staff party for the whole group, not just the office which I may go to (because its free!!) but I am gutted I missed this one even if I would have ad to pay.

We went to the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London a week ago today and it was fabulous, except for the food which was average. There was a band followed by a disco, fruit juice bar, good vodka/bad vodka game, roulette, poker, dancing heads, photo mock-ups of Hello magazine front covers, karaoke, and copious amounts of Champagne, wine and a free bar. They also paid either for overnight accommodation at a nearby Hilton, or a taxi home.

We had a 'subsidised' Christmas meal. We had to put £5 towards it.
