First subtract 10 from both sides:
-x/3 = -5

Multiply both sides by -1:
x/3 = 5

Multiple both sides by 3 and you're done:
x = 15

you're trying to isolate x, so try to do whatever you can to get the other information over to the '5' side (hint: at the end, divide the '5' side by a negative, hence changing whatever the answer is on that side from a negative to a pos or a pos to a neg...then you get what x is and not what -x is...a trick a lot of teacher's like to put on tests)
