Has anyone on here ever sold Kirby Vacuums? I'm not planning on doing it, but I'm just wondering what your experience was.

*looking to hear from people who sold them, not bought

Never owned a Kirby. Used to love Hoover but not any more. Now I have a Dyson & its the BEST! Happened to be at Sam's Club one day when my daughter called. When I told her we were going to this vacuum store next (Kirby?), she said MOM, get a Dyson! She raved about hers! So I went by their vacuums & they had Dyson. Got 1 & have been thrilled with it! Daughter had a 2-story house. She was able to stretch the hose all the way up while the vacuum was on the floor! This one picks up the cat & dog hair (which we get in abundance! uh!) like nothing else! And I LOVE how it doesn't tip over!! SO easy to use AND----NO BAGS! WHY pay for bags when one can just up-end the cup & dump it? Less expensive & more green!!! Never deal with door-to-door sales people! They push & don't care if you can afford it! My X was in sales & he taught me soooo much! Now sales people hate me! hehehehehe.... Kirby---NO Dyson---YES!

i sold Kirby vacuums about 26 years ago in southern California and the funniest thing about it was when we would go in in the morning and have a meeting we would sing and play games to boost up the moral of the salesman one of the phrases that i remember is gee i feel great today

I sold "Rainbow". 5 for 5. I hated it. It was like trying to get someone to look at Amway! No joke! LOL. I know that's not a Kirby, but it's a vacum just the same.

Tony Robbins tells a great story about being a vacuum cleaner salesman.

He learned all about "buyer's remorse" and the three day recision rule for sales made at the home.

As you know, Tony is a super salesman [was even then] and he's the guy [out of hundreds or thousands] who proved that the vacuum cleaner sales outfits ads about how many you could sell are true -- for that one guy in 1000 who has tremendous selling skills that the company didn't teach you.
