My wife and friends are looking for something fun to do for New Years in Los Angeles area. We could even drive to SF if there was something really worthwhile. Any good ideas out there?

Drive along hwy 1 to see big sur and Point Lobos reserve,
See Chinatown and other top 10 attractions in SF,
Tastewine in Napa valley.
