We were supposed to put up our tree last weekend but I was sick so we didn't. I was sick all this week also so it's going up tomorrow! Anyone else this late?

Thankful there are some normal people only putting them up. It is just wrong to have it up before the second week of November (before the 8th!)

We have to start decorating in November in order to get it all done by Christmas. Plus, our wedding anniversary falls in December and we usually have a big party for which we like to share our holiday decorations because it makes the house more welcoming. Last year we were very late because my husband was very ill too and so it was a joy to have the decorations up longer this year.

we dont have ours up yet or any decorations we are all too busy to get everything down from the attic so we will probably do that this weekend. We almost always do it around this time, we are a bit late this year, but we dont want to get sick of the decorations before christmas so we wait til about a week and a half to two weeks to put them up and then take them down a few days after new years.

Nope! This is my first Christmas living together with my boyfriend so I was super excited to decorate. I bought our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving and put it up right away. I've had the tree up, the lights up and the whole house decorated since then. I figure if I'm going to spend all the money and time to set everything up, I might as well do it early to enjoy it!

I put my tree up like two days after thanksgiving. Just to get it out of the way. But a weird thing with me...I have babies around the house which I expected them to mess with the tree. They don't. But every morning we would get up, the tree would be on the floor. lol My cats are enthralled with the tree!! They love the ornaments. But they hate the lights. So to keep them off of the tree, we keep the lights on. I don't think that you're late at all. If you think about it, it has less time to collect mess ( ie- pine needles, tinsel, etc )

We were running behind. The tree is up but all of the decorations still aren't there.
Usually its right after Turkey Day for me...get it out of the way.

We don't bother with a tree and decorations... going to Cyprus this year!
I think it gets earlier every year. My Grandma said that when she was a kid they put the tree up on Christmas eve in her house!

3 days before Christmas is when the tree should go up, and it should be taken down on January 6.

we've only just started puttin our decorations up tonight - so you're not late at all its just that everyone else is early - far too early! thats my opinion anyway - and why november ? well thats just ridiculous! enjoy putting your decorations up when you want - dont feel bullied!
