Let's presume that the the teacher in question has already been caught and taken into custody on the school grounds.

They should lose their Job.

The incident should be reported to the police.

It would depend on the jurisdiction, the type of drug, the teacher's criminal history and whether the teacher was hired on a part-time contract basis or full-time and permanently.

They'd probably be suspended until the outcome of the criminal case. If the teacher was fired, and then the charges were discovered to be unfounded, then the school board could be sued for wrongful dismissal.

As far as the criminal charge goes, punishments vary widely if the guy was found guilty. Obviously a guy with 5 past criminal charges, who is trying to buy a kilo of cocaine, would be treated far differently than a guy who's caught trying to buy a joint of marijuana.

Water boarding at Gitmo, forced to watch Oprah and Rosie O'Donnell, only provided nude photos of Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi. That should solve the problem.

Jail time. BIG jail time. Possible death pentally if the teacher was forcing the kid to sale drugs.

Jail, job loss and not being able to teach again, at least in that state.
