Because it is something that 99.99999% of us DO - WOMEN included!!!
And those who don't are either lying about it (and ashamed) - or they believe that they will go straight to Hell if they do...
Besides - would you (as the potential "girlfriend" you suggested) be WILLING to have sex with your boyfriend anytime HE wanted it?!?!?!?!?
