Which do think is better? I want to get my B.A. in interior design and the schools I'm trying to decide between is the Art Institute of Colorado and Colorado State University. On the one hand the art institute is closer to where I live, then again CSU is cheaper but is farther away.
What experiences do have with these schools? If you have experiences with either one, what did you like? what did you dislike?

Looking at the ratings won't much help you, since one of the schools is a university and the other is an art school - they won't appear on the same ratings scale.
The biggest issue in this choice is the certainty of your decision. If you are absolutely sure that you want to go into interior design, then I would guess that the Art Institute would give you as much credibility as would a degree from Colorado State. If, however, there is any chance that you either might not stick with this field, or that you might want to go for a graduate degree, you would have to choose CSU, which has much more credibility among universities.

I would talk to someone at each school and find out more about their interior design programs. Ask questions like:
- "What percent of your Interior Design graduates get jobs after graduation?"
- "What types of internships do you offer to help students gain experience in the field?"
- "What types of companies recruit your Interior Design graduates?"
These questions will help you get an idea of which program will better prepare you for your future career.

Check out US News and World Report which rates schools annually. They have a big book out at most newsstands which you can buy.
