No I think education would become obsolete if everyone had the same level of learning. It doesn't sound like utopia to me, it sounds like communism.

I don't know why people tell you that Phil. Its not dwelling on the past but dang, adoption is such a HUGE part of our lives as adoptees. I also don't feel that I have let it hamper me in any way. Due to the circumstances, I think that I also have turned out well. Honestly though, not a day goes by that it isn't on my mind. I love my adoptive parents to death! I could not have asked for better. But despite that, at the end of the day, how I came about is still on my mind. I wonder how people like us can make a difference. So to answer your question (your GOOD QUESTION), I would have to say no, I do not feel as though my adoption concerns have hampered me. If anything, they have made me stronger and more passionate when I talk about adoption. You keep doing what you are doing and continue on with your successful life. Ignore the ignorant comments from those who just don't get it or understand because THAT'S what hinders a person.

No, because a whole lot of people that know how to answer multiple choice questions and fail to listen to others because they are under the delusion that they are intellectually superior to everyone else would not make the world a better place. In fact the turkeys that are running the country currently hold higher degrees and the country is still screwed up and they fail to even attempt to fix the problems that they have created to begin with. So to answer your question definitely not.

90% of all jobs require little to no formal education. I highly doubt that an advanced degree is going to make anyone cleaning toilets for a living any more content or happy with that role. Most likely it would have the opposite affect. Also, competition for jobs where 1 could actually use their education would be fierce.

No. Information can be taught, and minds can even be conditioned to think a certain way within a specialised field (ie, fighter pilots)
But common sense cant, and there are an awful lot of 'intellectual cabbages' out there that may well be highly educated but are still lacking in the common sense required to interact with society.
I've met many ;-)

Possibly, because then at least intelligent people would be common and they'd be happier. However, I think the world would be better if there were more people with advanced degrees, but not all. Just a few more.

No, Jvy I don't think the world would be a better place if only everyone were highly educated. Knowledge by itself is not enough. True good character is what we need more of. We have access to so much more knowledge than the generations that came before us and yet we are not better as a race of humans. Look around at some of the horrific crimes that take place, education cannot put love in a human heart, nor can it instill kindness, goodness, mercy - at least by itself.
Personal experience with my own family has not lead me to place over-confidence in the benefits of education/intellect. My family is filled with highly intelligent people. It is also filled with addictions, sexual perversion and abuse. By age 18, I was ready to check out of this life(largely due to familial cruelty). It was an encounter with God, when I was introduced to Jesus Christ that finally gave me something worth living for. God literally showed love to me and demonstrated that He cared for me, small insignificant me! So, if I had to choose intelligence or a relationship with God (assuming one could have only one or the other, which is silly) I'd choose a spiritual relationship with Jesus. The thing I would love to see most of all is people being able to blend intelligence with a love relationship with God - truly the best of both worlds. I have met wonderful Christians who were people I could respect - people with integrity, wisdom and genuine loving kindness. More of that in this world would bring the closest approximation to Utopia I could hope for. The Bible tells God's plan for "heaven on earth", but many reject it thinking that God is lame or that He is a control-freak and kill-joy. This is so far from the truth. God has done more to maximize my life and enrich it than any amount of education could lay claims to. I lack just a few hours from a bachelor's degree. So I have had exposure to both perspectives - intellect and spiritual development/character. I feel that God brings forth the best in my life in every area of who I am as a person; He challenges me to develop my mind and my skills/gifts.
This is an excellent question; I'm sure you will get some lively debate on peoples' perspectives on it. If you write more details, would you share your ideas on this question? Obviously you are a thinker and I'd like to know how you feel about this issue!

No, if everyone continued on to a higher education then there would be a lack of new education to obtaine. There would be people fighting for jobs... no one would pick up the trash and the blue collar worker would not exist. Think of that next time you want to have your furnace or your car fixed... or next time you throw out the trash. If they had the same education as you... would these people still do their jobs?

Well, you only need an 'advanced' degree if you are doing something particularly difficult. The janitor doesn't really need a PhD.
The smart and stupid have their place & jobs they do well.
A smart person gets bored with a stupid job, and if you want to know what happends when stupid people try and do smart jobs, just follow politics.

It would certainly be more stuffy.
Variety is the spice of life. Why would anyone want to live in a world filled with drones whose heads are full of the same information?
