I am a college student at a university. I just took my psychology final. I am worried that I might be getting a bad grade from the result of the final. So here is how she is grading, my grade is 20% of my mid-term grade (I got an A) 25% my research paper (got an mid B) My quizzes is 25% (got an A). I know that she has a way to grade it but I am just worried that I might get a C as Result of my Final exam which is 30% of my grade. Is there anything I should worry about?

Assume the following scale
5=A
4=B
3=C
2=D
1=F

.20(5) + .25(4) + .25(5) + .30(x) =

1 + 1 + 1.25 + .30(x)

= 3.25 + .30(x)

If you got an A on the final:
3.25 + .30(5) = 4.75 That's a high B or an A in the class.

A B on the final:
3.25 + .30(4) = 4.45 A high B in the class, I think.

A C on the final:
3.25 + .30(3) = 4.15 A B in the class

A D on the final:
3.25 + .30(2) = 3.85 A high C in the class

Failed the final:
3.25 + .30(1) = A C in the class.

Unless you got a D or an F on the final exam you will get at least a B in the course.

Well based on what you have so far, I would say you are at a high B, low low A before your final exam grade.

Say you are at a B+ in the class. If you get a D on the final, you will get a C in the class. If you get a low-mid C on the final you will waiver between a B and a high C.

No use worrying now. If you took the test already, the only thing you can do is wait and learn for the next time you take a class and don't do as well as you needed to on a final.

Finals ALWAYS count for more points on a scale, at least in 98% of the classes I ever took.

Worrying won't help you much, and there isn't much you can do about any of it now. As you have reported it, if you got a C on the final, you would have a B for the class.
