Because the Dem Leadership is so pathetically inept, incompetant, and out of touch with the people of this nation. They waste time doing stupid, meaningless crap to score points with the Looney left wing base and move-on.org types that they loose track of what they SHOULD be doing... and HOW to go about actually DOING it!
This is what Republican hating, and Bush Hating policies get you in a nation that EXPECTS progress not Partisan Bickering from their elected officials.
Im looking forward to seeing most of these clowns being kicked out in the street come election day!

The sooner the Dem's realize they must do more than send bills to Bush that they know will be vetoed the better they will be. The first year of liberal majority in congress has proved to be very negative. The ratings given Congress are far lower than Bush's despite the cover ups the media give congress. That is why Bush keeps kicking butt on Congress, Reid and Pelosi lack the basic skill of compromise and their wild ideas keep failing.

There are 2 dynamics going on here and ultimately it has nothing to do with Bush.
On the one hand, the Dems are too spineless to call out the remaining Bush loyalists on the other side of the aisle.
On the other hand, the more vetos the Dems can coax out of Bush, the more the Reps look like obstructionists who want to take health insurance away from poor children.

It is not so much "whoop" as it is his paranoia. It is kind of sad really--he has been teased and ridiculed throughout his entire Presidency.
With no legacy and little respect President Bush, (you should have used President Bush or George W. Bush by the way) abandoned by much of his Cabinet, is a master of manipulation.
He will strut and thumps his chest until he gets his way and then "we" get mad when he snickers at us. We are too blame--he quotes-- "Fool me once, shame on you" .
This goes way beyond "programs" that have been "dashed" and President Bush's "three political victories".
The answer to your question is-- a handful of nervous Republicans.

Xpoo, you and I know that GW Bush is mostly unpopular in the 'slanted / twisted' liberal media polls.
After 3 years of the Dimmycrotches leading the House down the 'yellow brick road', 'they still do not get it.'

What, Bush is unpopular, I didn't know that.
But seriously, you can bet there is some wheeling and dealing going on. It's give and take in politics.

because the democrats are run by the same people who run the republicans - big business & lobbiest. once people start realizing this, then maybe there will be some change in washington. but until then, they run for office under these labels of the respective parties, when in reality, they all work for the same ends.

because when you promise what you clearly cant deliver and use confiscatory taxtation in an attempt to pay for what you cant deliver...eventually, even for liberals, it will catch up to you. and with liberals it has and bush simply delivers the same message conservatives always have...self reliance and the ability to reap the fruits of your own labors.
