You know how crazy long the post office lines are these days at Christmas time! I have 3 packages that I have to mail (all are over 1 pound). Therefore I can't drop them in the blue boxes (it's the rules they have posted). I already have them stamped with the correct postage, do I still need to stand in line or can I just go straight to the desk and hand it to an employee? Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks!

Just walk in and set it on the counter to an agent, no need to wait in line or just give it to postman

2 ways....

#1 Ring the buzzer on the door near the counter, The back room personel will accept it.

#2 Schedule pick up at your home or office. The mailman picks up if you have the postage already

If you are sending via Express Mail, Priority Mail, or International you can have the package picked up at your home for free. See http://www.usps.com/pickup/welcome.htm?from=home&page=schedulepickup

You do not have to stand in line, there should be counter space to set your packages. I used to do this for work with hundreds of boxes...

No, don't wait in line if your packages already have stamps on them. Correct portage.
