Aaargghhh - Huband makes me wanna scream - he's a goo sort reallyand I shouldn't complain too much but christmas stress is fuelling all sorts of problems! It was our daughter's birthday a few weeks ago - who bought the pressies, wrapped the pressies, booked a venue for party, arranged entertainment, made a cake, made all the food - blew up the balloons, filled party bags etc etc etc - ME OF COURSE!! Now it's christmas prep - i've bought all the pressies for everyone - wrapped them all - bought, wrote and sent the cards, put the tree up and the window lights - on top of looking after daughter and working part time! Anyone out there sympathetic? Next time i'm coming back as a man!

Yup, he helped seal all the evelopes put on the stamps, he puts the lights on the tree, he put the hooks on the tree ornaments and helped to put some on the tree, he put on the lights, and the only thing i don't really like for him to help me in is picking out the gifts cuz he seriously has no clue. But he does go w/me to the store.

Nope.... He does work in a residential home so he has to work Christmas day and Boxing day. But I would'nt want him to help anyway, he would try and take over and I can do it better without him. His present buying is rubbish, he thinks everone wants smellies or chocolates. And then when everything is bought and wrapped, he says "I don't know what I'd do without you." I know arn't men full of Sh*t.

HAH! The only men I've ever seen do more than drag the tree in and put the lights on the outside of the house were gay.

mines the same but worse he actually complaines ? while sitting on his jacksie that it isn't the right thing or its not festive enough or the wrong wrapping etc so could be worse! My advice get earplugs before you throttle him or refuse to do anything for him til he helps it usually works. Ie don't feed him, wash his stuff or buy any of his families gifts until he gets helping.

Nope. Mine puts up the tree then gets out of my way. Though he was sweet enough to order dinner this year and will be the one picking it up on Christmas eve because I'm working.

i think the majority of men go to the pub on christmas eve so the wifeys can wrap all the stuff up and get the dinner prepared for the next day....so answering your question...nope...

I understand what you are going through. Have you asked the fellow to do X, Y, or Z? If it were a "manly" type of task - hanging lights outside, etc., he might be inclined to lend a hand.
