I'd really like to teach mathematics or physical science at a small college, but not with a doctorate degree. Is this possible?

.You might get some adjunct work, but I'd think most colleges can find people with doctorates to teach full time.

You'll need to have AT LEAST a Bachelor's Degree from a University plus some 'teacher training' to teach math or physics ... but my husband wasn't even done with his 'one year certification' in Web Management when the school he was attending hired him to teach web design ... he's now working as a web developer for a company that does 'advertising display' ... he makes the websites that HUGE companies use, and also does 'presentations' and 'interactive advertising' in store windows.

Yes, you need a Master's degree at a community college more than likely. That is how it is in my case. I have a Master's degree and teach at a community college. To teach at a university, you'd have to have a Ph.D., though there are a few cases where you only need a Master's.

You only need one level higher than you teach. A bachelor degree can teach a diploma, a masters degree can teach bachelors, and a doctorate can teach masters students. Or at least that's the case in my area.

It depends. Some community colleges or technical colleges will hire individuals who have obtained their Master's Degree (MS, MA, etc.) in a subject matter. It depends upon the types of degrees that institution offers.
