Only when I'm talking to somebody. Most of all, I love a woman who can have an intelligent, witty, clever conversation. I usually overwhelm the people around me with my knowledge of all the obscure facts floating around in my head. I only have one male friend (and we've been close friends for almost 25 years now) who has the intellectual capacity to offer me a chance at a legitimate opportunity to discuss any subject deeper than "what's for dinner?" We often find ourself ruminating over subjects that would simply bewilder anyone who overheard us. We discuss religion, politics, world history (the Greeks, Romans, Alexander the Great, Darius II, Chinese, etc.), astronomy, cosmology, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, geology, botany, nuclear physics, military weaponry and technology, aerospace, avionics, piloting skills, philosophy, archaeology, ornithology, entomology, gemology, siesmology... see what I mean? We're really boring to anybody but each other!

Yes!!! I can usually count on friends or chats online for some intelligent conversation, but some days its impossible. Like yesterday, talked for 5 mins with hubby about the upcoming day, rush to work-cell off-radio full of fluff, substitute teach 2nd grade all day, didn't hardly have time to speak to any other teachers beyond hello, picked up my 2 year old, talk to my mom about people we know, hubby came home exhausted at 10 and we kept it light. After having lots of days like this in a row, I'm sure my brain is mush!!

Yes, very often. And at other times I crave silence. I find that many people talk incessantly just to fill the empty spaces with mindless chatter, gossip, or bravado.
One of my most highly regarded spiritual teachers once told me that before one speaks, he/she should consider whether what they want to say is an improvement on silence. Perhaps if more people practiced this, there would be more substance to topics of conversation.

My brain is almost totally mush now cause I have been stuck in Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for a few years and this is the most retarded, backward, nothing place on earth and just one town away they are all inbreeding and I get scared. I IQ out at 140 and am desperate to talk to someone besides the typical (country) wal-mart shopper.

Yes but like you I can't get it that often. People are not into intelligent conversation very much. Maybe I haven't met the right people in recent years.
