a question was asked by someone else on how to get there mother in law to stop buying her teen daughters clothes and underwear from victorias secret.. this baffled me.. what is wrong with it as long as it is not revealing . victorias secret carries a line for teens called PINK, it consists of cotton underwear and bras and the clothing line carries mostly swearpants and hoodies, the logo is even a little dog which is printed on most of the underwear... dont you think by this mother telling there daughter there is something wrong with it.. that she is the one putting the dirtiness to it, by introducing that thought to her daughters.. they prolly just think of it as a name barand.. the clothes and underwear are better quality, the dont fall apart when you wash them and they are made to fit better and be more comfortable.. so do you think there is something wrong with it.

Frankly, I don't understand all this concern over the underthings worn by adolescent girls. What a girl is wearing under her clothes is her business, and she and everyone else needs to keep it that way. Now, if a girl chooses to behave rudely by exposing her underwear to other people while she is wearing it, blame her, not the underwear she is showing off. Although popular opinion seems to differ, adolescent girls actually do have minds and consciences of their own. This means they can choose to behave properly or rudely. If rudely, then they must be reprimanded.

You are exactly right, I think Victoria Secret markets what it predominately is...a lingerie store (and NOT a trashly lingerie store). There are just few other companies out there that market lingerie without it being "trashy", so I think it confuses people. Now they do have a fabulous clothing line that I buy exclusively from because I am a gal with long legs and find that they have the only clothes that fit me right. Victoria Secret is my absolute favorite store and I believe it appitimizes what it means to be a "girl"...I mean, what other store takes the time to wrap your purchases in decorative tissue paper?? They take great care and pride in their "brand". Again, you are exactly right, the "PINK" line is an affordable market for teenage girls with comfy bras, panties, pajamas, and even sweats that young girls and even college students can wear around comfortable while at slumber parties, in dorms, etc...that is the whole reason the line was created! I can't wait for my daughter to get old enough that she can wear Victoria Secret products and understand how putting on nice things (as a woman) makes you feel good about yourself...there is no better feeling than having super girly lingerie with bows and lace and ribbons on under your clothing...nothing dirty or trashy about it. I think parents just get concerned that if they wear "cute" lingerie that is equals sexual activity and it doesn't!!! And also don't forget that thongs and v-sting undies are made so that panty lines don't show...nothing draws attention to your rear more than panty lines :- ) So again there is nothing trashy about thongs either.

My mom bought my first bra from Victoria's Secret when I was eleven. I also had Victoria's Secret pajamas and clothing all through junior high and high school. I'm now twenty years old and happily married, so now I do wear some of the sexier items the store carries. I see no problem with teen girls owning clothing, underwear, or pjs from Victoria's Secret. They make great stuff. There are much more revealing items on the market.

I think victorias secret is fine for a teen. It is just a brand, its just better made than the stuff at Target. the PINK stuff is cute too. As for the underwear and bras, they stay under the clothes, so what is their to reveal?

I see nothing wrong with teens wearing *some* things from Victoria's Secret. Especially the PINK store. I'm 43 & I absolutely LOVE to bring my teenage daughters to the PINK store b/c they always have something cute. I could definently understand a mother not wanting her daughter running around in the more mature & sexy VS line. But the PINK line is made for teenage girls!

I have a hoodie from there.
Thats all. Why?
Because I think the store is pretty expensive. But thats not the point I think if girls want to and can where it then why not? But I can get stuff from target half the price.
As my mom says:Once you pay for the clothes you can decide the brand of what they are.
Mommy knows best :-)

I see no issue with that brand for anyone who needs underwear or Bras.

Well as long as they are wearing them under their clothes! If the teen is going out in public in only the underwear then I begin to have an issue!

:-)

no there's nothing wrong with a teen buying victorias secret.
if you are a teen, you eventually need lingerie, and victoria's secret's sell high quality lingerie.
you dont want to buy something cheap that doesnt last and then keep buying the same thing over and over again.

it relatively is misguided. toddlers do no longer could be wearing specific (probably racy) underclothes. I paintings in retail and that i've got considered infant underclothes that have comparable subject concerns and words on them. this is like telling youthful women that the sole way they'd fit in or seem/sense good is that in the event that they're wearing VS underclothes or racy underclothes. what variety of message is that? i'm 29 and that i would not have worn that once i became in center college, no longer to show severe college. I see mum and dad who enable their youthful little ones and tweens pass into Abercrombie and VS and purchase outfits from there. they're way too youthful to be wearing outfits from those shops. and then the mum and dad ask your self why there are social/ethical/ethical themes happening with their little ones. If mum and dad surely watched what their little ones purchase or maybe no longer purchase their little ones those outfits, consistent with possibility issues could be distinctive.
