I love Robin Cook books. They are all really good, but I'm ready Chromosome 6 right now, and I would recommend it. Some other good books are Running With Scissors, That Was Then This is Now, Twilight Children and Ashes to Ashes.

Anything by Lori Wick. She writes Christian Romance novels.
She got new ones out (not sure of the theme, but most of her books have some romance aspect to them) with women's names. I think one of the titles is "Cassidy"
Books by Karen Kingsbury are really good too. The First Born Series is good.

If she likes romance books I really enjoyed Kelley Armstrong. She's kind of a cross between romance and fantasy/paranormal kind of. Her books revolve around a werewolf, a witch, vampires and a necromancer. I don't know what kinds of things your mom reads. And if she likes fantasy books I'd also suggest Trudi Canavan, she writes about a girl who finds out she has magical powers. It's like a Harry Potter for adults kind of.

My mom & I really enjoyed the Diana Gabaldon series. They're big books, and probably about 6 of them in the series! It's romance & history rolled into one. We both love them a lot!
Good luck!

I'd post this in the books section on YA and give an idea of past books you know she read.
