How can something God made be a sin? The Bible is full of mistranslation. The verses used to condemn homosexuality are really prohibiting prostitution in the temples for pagan rites and for a slave to be forced to have sex with his master. Sex between two consenting people is not dealt with in the Bible. PLUS Jesus did not have ANYTHING to say about homosexual persons so if it was not important to him, then it was not that big an issue. We, in our US society are so hung up on sex and sexuality that we have gone stupid and try to control what others do in the PRIVACY of their bedrooms.
No. It is not a sin. How can LOVE ever be a sin. If it IS a sin then it is the promiscuity, of which heterosexuals are just as guilty. Jesus did talk about "throwing the first stone..."

It depends on the source you choose for your definition of sin. If you're using the Bible, it would appear that engaging in homosexual behavior is a sin, but it seems to be silent on whether being a homosexual person by preference is a sin. I think it's safe to conclude that, biblically, it's OK to BE a homosexual as long as you're not GETTING any.
