Turkey has a good number of Muslims, yet a good number of Christians and Jews too. Turkey isn't a fundamentalist u . s . in any respect, and is no longer. There are particularly rules against women masking their faces. I went to Istanbul final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and had an extremely time. the individuals are in simple terms like us individuals....in certainty they love individuals! they elect to occasion and drink and spend time with buddies and have a physically powerful time. Turkey is unlike all different Islam international places in that the Turkish government is secular, and not ruled by utilising faith. every physique has the liberty to prepare despite faith they elect in Turkey. which you would be able to answer your question, no, Turkey isn't starting to be an "Islamic" u . s .. it extremely is particularly plenty a loose democracy like a good number of eu international places. They even use the Euro in some aspects!

Turkey is not an Islamic country, although Islam is has the most followers there.
The Turkish government go out of their way to ensure a secular style of governance - their people pride themselves on it and they try to practice tolerance. It's a great theory and they're working hard to make it work in practice. A few other countries could take a leaf out of their book instead of, for example, scoffing hamburgers and knowing that they're always right because Jesus said so in the bible.

Because Ataturk turned the country into a secular republic after WW1, and used the western model to bring Turkey into the 20th century.
