I have been, wear anything that is comfortable. Comfortable shoes are important.. No open toed shoes, boots are good so that people will stay off our feet. It's gonna be a tough crowd, lots of moshing, hard to keep up in. I hope you aren't going alone, a 14 year old girl by herself.. It could be trouble. If you want to be in the front of a general admission show, get there early, several hours early. You need to be one of the first in line. Then as soon as they open the venue rush to the front where the railing is, and latch on. Don't move for anybody. A little advice, center stage is the place where you will get crushed the most. Everybody surges in to the center. You will be better off being a little off of center stage, like in front of where the bass or guitar player would be. You will avoid a lot of crushing and crowd surfers.

My experience... I had an awesome time! I was covered in sweat, had bruises and a busted lip, and I didn't even mosh, I was just in front and it was pretty rough. Granted this was during the Mechanical Animals tour, and I heard the show has mellowed out a bit.

Unless this is a venue with permanent seating (that is, not just an open floor) you do not want to be in the front row. I don't know if you've ever been to a concert like this, but if you are a fourteen-year-old girl in the front row at a Marilyn Manson concert, you will not have fun and probably get hurt.

Here is how it would usually work. You will get there early so you can get up front and stand around forever waiting for the opening act (assuming there is one). Things will probably go fine through the opening act, but when the lights go down right before Manson comes out, everyone will rush the stage. if you are in front, you will be pushed into the rail in front of the stage with a force you will not expect and can not do anything about. I have been to concerts where I have literally been able to lift both feet off the ground and not fall down because people were packed so tightly. It will not be safe for you, and you will likely need to be lifted out by a security guard. There is also a good chance that being a girl in a compromising situation, some jerk will take the opportunity to cop a feel. I'm not advocating any of this; It sucks, but I am just telling you what I know from years of experience going to hard rock and metal shows.

If you stand too much back from the front you will get near the pit area. As long as you are not actually in the pit, this is actually safer, in my opinion, than up front, but you still have to be careful, and may end up watching the people around you as much as the show, just to make sure that some pit-monkey doesn't get shoved in to you, or some crowd-surfer doesn't land on your head.

The best location I can advise without knowing the venue is if there are stadium type seats around the sides, sit in one of those close to the front. They should be safe and you will actually probably have a better view of the stage. If there is only an open floor, stand about pit-level but far enough off to one side to not be too concerned about the pit running in to you.

Dress code should be practical. Worry less about looking cute and focus on what will be appropriate for that environment. If you are in the seats, you can probably wear what you want, but if you are on the floor, no matter where, you are going to get bumped into a lot. Accessories should be a minimum--things like fairy wings or a devil tail will likely get crushed or lost. I'm all for you dressing in a way that expresses yourself, but it's going to be dark and there will be a lot of people; you'll get noticed by guys just for being there, you don't have to dress to be noticed. Also, it will get very warm with all those bodies so close together; it may be a good idea to wear something layered that you can tie around your waist (securely) for when it gets hot.

Speaking of heat, it will be sweaty. You will likely also be run in to by some big sweaty meatheads, intentionally or otherwise, so your clothes will probably be damp with sweat by the time it is over. I don't know how you'll be getting there, but I usually bring another shirt or something to change in to and leave it in my car for afterward. Another option, if you can afford it, is to by a tour t-shirt after the show (but be prepared to wait forever if you wait until after the show).

Wear sensible shoes. If you are on the floor, your feet will get stepped on. Something stable with a solid toe is a good idea.

I know this sounds lame, but take earplugs. The music will be so loud that you will hear everything just fine while you wear them, and you will save permanent hearing damage. If you don't, your ears will be ringing for the next day, maybe longer. I wish I had done that when I first started going to concerts.

I hope none of this sounded too preachy or scared you off. Congratulations on not letting your friends dictate what music you like, and have a great time!

lol, it sounds like you've gotten some pretty good advice, but I don't know how you are going to get front row. It was almost impossible for us this summer (i was 14 as well) we were to the left of the stage probably like ten rows back and we were still getting so squished we were actually being lifted off the ground. It was crazy fun though.

Hope you have an amazing time!

-ha, i forgot. He played "if i was your vampire" first and everyone freaked out. It was actually really scary and we were thinking about leaving.

Hey!
Have you been to the concert, how was it?
I'm 18 soon and I REALLY want to go to his concert in uk 2014, but I'm not sure if I need to take someone with me or not.( The concert is also like 2 hours distance away) And if I need, who should I take with me? My mum definitely not, my friends don't like MM..so is a bit difficult

He always puts on a good show.

I dont think they are as good as they were years ago, but he still is def. worth seeing once in your life.

If its general admission i would suggest not wearing wings, they might get messed up and just get in your way. I never really put alot of thought into my outifts, Usually i would just wear jeans and a plain black tank top

I like him, but he won't ever come to my hometown. Good Lord, I live in the Bible Belt and if he ever scheduled a concert here, it would have all the Bible thumpers running in circles! But, what you're planning to wear is fine. Go and have fun! Don't worry about going alone. I go to concerts all the time alone.....no big deal!

Yes and it was way freaky. His fans are a show unto themselves. He rocks on stage and the fans do in the stands.
