it depends on what he did to get arrested. My brother in law has spent many .a christmas in jail and my sister just waited around for him, they are still together today, after 15 years, and he is still constantly in trouble with the law. It's not a happy life for her. If he didn't do anything all that terrible, then just wait for him. If you end up finding someone else, you never loved him that much to begin with. he'll get over it.

There's nothing you can do. One of my best friends is gonna be in jail this Christmas and next. All I can do is write to him as much as possible and keep him positive.

go visit them. I got pulled over last x-mas eve @ 11:55pm, forgort about a court date that was months prior...and yea, spent the whole week in jail. the most depressing event thus far. Especially if your not a criminal, just forgetful.

Bail them out of jail, or if I couldn't, I'd pray for them and visit jail every day and bring them gifts.

Try to go on...Maybe be sure i had sent a really special Christmas card with letter to them.
There is not a lot you can do, yes it is sad, but important to keep your spirits up, for yourself AND them.

reevaluate why I picked a bf that did something stupid enough to land him in jail, and hope that I choose wiser next time around.

Leave them!!! I refuse to "do time" with someone based on them doing something stupid that lands them in jail.

I'd be sad, but I'd be asking myself why I was dragging myself down with a lawbreaker. Doesn't bode well for the future.

Say goodbye. No self respecting and intelligent man or woman should stay with a criminal like that.

I wouldn't have friends in jail. All of my friends are law abiding citizens.
