my african american friend is finnaly getting married. (to a white girl). they dont have many friends so they want me to bring as many people as possible. i can bring my grandpa who is a funny guy, but he always curses and uses racial slurs. he doesnt hate those people though. but in his days, that was acceptable. i keep telling him that he cant do those things anymore. :\

is it OK to invite him?

You can invite him, just stress to him not to say anything racial that could offend him or her. You don't want to risk pissing someone off on their wedding day do you?

Oh my. Ummm...probably not a good idea. I know it may seem harmless because he is old and it's "just his generation". But, I don't think they should have to deal with that on their wedding day.

Sure - go ahead and invite him.

You won't be friends with that couple after that.
