Out The Window

Out the window...grey, chilly day
Highlighted by tall weeds...backyard.
Tired leaves. Too exhausted to fight
For color, flippin down...spiraling a
'Goodbye'.

Out the window...Winter has won
Again. Time of trials has come.
Wolf curled on pine needles...still.
Bushy tail over her face...warm.

Out the window...
One Magnolia blossom...

Out the window...
I see the cold air blowing the colorful leaves...
People hurrying past the trees....
No time for "hi"
its always goodbye
Coldness surrounds us everywhere.

Outside my bedroom window is a tall tree that has been growing there ever since I was born. in the summer it is full if leaves and squirrels and birds, singing and enjoying the sun and heat. In the winter, now, the branches are covered with snow and only the most foohardy squirrels and birds alight, chirping and complaining as we do about the cold and snow, and lack of warmth. When will it come again?????????????

Out the window...cold sunny day
The Great South Bay...sparkling waters
My boat bobs gently on the still water
Ducks and geese float by and seagulls flock
The chicks will not be born
Until early spring.

Winter has come and with it
Snow gently falls and whitens the grass
Raccoons hide in the den beneath my dock
My cat sits in the window
Watching the sparrows and the squirrels
In their search for food.

In this season of joy
I rejoice.

Out the window
west across the street
the volleyball complex
is not a complex view

Mountains beyond
See not the complex
See the mountains beyond

The deepness of that thought
makes me weak.
I weep weakly
even weekly

Mountains beyond the weeping
across the street
beyond the complex
weeping weakly

I'm going to barf now....

weakly....

for a week

I'm eye-level with the downspout
My basement office is low
The window is right on the pavement
Cars rolling with new tires to show

The people can look down upon me
As fingers fumble with keys
I open the blinds for some sunlight
And a look at 'whats-her-name's knees...

Outside my windows I see old Perfunkendorble MacDrunkly the wino tipping a bottle of spirits and grinning like an old
coyote stumbling down the block. What a sight......

Outside my window... the pale glimmer of a winter's day.
Waves of fawn grass,
naked branches on the trees,
their leaves fluttering to earth.

Through my window... distant peaks sparkle with snow.
Beautiful in their mantled splendor,
they march of into the hazy distance,
like white-robed sentinels guarding
the far horizons.

The frosted panes of glass,
lend jewel-encrusted frame
to the grace of nature's chill.

Thomas... would-be poet.

Outside my window, Oh what a vast and not filled void.
The same as my heart has been since you left.
I wait for the day when the sun I see arise and you are walking in that light.

Nothing,

My breath keeps fogging up the window
Am i full of hot air or is it to cold.
Im just not sure why
So i doodle my name with hearts upon the window
Its all so pretty till it fades
im just not sure why
So i open my mouth to release my long held breath
its like a new canvas for my masterpiece.
Again, im just not sure why.

I know it sucks, but i try ed...this was my first poem...I truly enjoyed it...
