I gained 30-35 pounds during pregnancy and I lost 28 the first three weeks because of breastfeeding. I wore a postpartum support thing for my stomach so it's not saggy and started walking my son a couple of miles a day.

Well I have had 4 kids and have 'pretty much' lost all of my weight each time (my newest is 6 months). (I am 35)
The best weight loss is through breast feeding (something I have never done personally) but wow the weight goes fast.
For me I stopped snacking at night, and drank a ton of water. You would be surprised how your body will bounce back but don't be hard on yourself and give it time.
With a new baby you don't want to be worrying about your weight - there is just too many other more important things to focus on (baby, sleep, health etc). Make sure also you take a vitamin every day - this will help. I would also make sure I did not skip meals (which is easy to do iwth a baby around). Small frequent healthy meals will help.
With my second son I did Weight Watchers which was so easy to do and in the first 2 weeks I lost 8 pounds and I was eating really good. Highly recommended.
If this is your first baby (regardless of age) you will lose alot of the weight naturally.
The best thing I can tell you is don't stress about it, be easy on yourself. For my first 2 children I waited a full year before I worried about my wieght as it can take up to that long for it to naturally get back to normal.
Good luck.

I was 165 when I became pregnant. Gained a total of 8 lbs to take me up to 173 and I had a doctor appointment the other day and I am now 135. My strategy: Breastfeeding! That is the only way I can explain it. I eat all the time, don't excercise but breastfeed. I do work full time so I breastfeed when I'm with her and pump while I'm at work. It's been the best experience of my life. I am also 23 so that may be another factor.

Well I just had my daughter about 4 months ago, and I am skinnier than what I was before I got pregnant, and still shedding pounds.
If you really want to lose the weight it would be best to nurse, not only is it good for the baby but it benefits you as well. I'm still nursing her, and I am still losing the weight.
Another activity I did when I was pregnant is take a few exercise classes like water aerobics, or yoga. Or you could do some low-impact exercises on your own, but ask your doctor if its okay first. You should explore these options it will make you labor go by fast.
Good luck!!!

a regular rule of thumb is 15 kilos in line with get dressed dimension. You'll be poofy within the belly nonetheless, however a well pair of spanks will manage that. As lengthy as you do not obtain greater than 15 kilos (that don't seem to be child) any more, you will not have got to lose whatever to get into an eight. I've learn that it takes nine months to obtain the burden, and nine to lose it, however I won not up to 10 kilos with each and every child, and left the clinic beneath my pre being pregnant weight.

I gained 23 pounds. I left the hospital and within a week after birth I was back in my old clothes. I was also 19 and pretty fit. The second one I also gained 23 pounds. I was just wore out with him!! I think it did not take very long to lose it!

I was 18 when I had my son and I gained 50lbs. (I was very under-weight to begin with, 5'9 and only 120lbs.) I've lost all but 10lbs. of the baby weight and my son is 8 months old. really I didn't do much different. Just walked like always and ate healthy... and I drank lots of water.

well if it makes you feel beter about 12 of those pounds come off when givin birth and shortly after from the baby and all the fluid and stuff.... and breastfeeding is a miracle worker.. my sister in law breastfed and got skinnier within the next three months then i had ever seen her i mean skinnier then before baby! so i think breastfeeding and eating good and excersie should get rid of that weight in at most 3-6 months

well breast feeding helps some ppl but not all, you really need to keep a track of your diet and try to be cative.. as you are always tired with a new baby...breast feeding increase ur apetite a lot and when you start weaning at 6 months you pile up pounds so b careful but dont stress much about that, losing too much in too little time will add toxins in you milk that is harmful to baby...

I breastfed and the weight loss was going great...then she weaned me, I started to balloon back up because I was used to taking in the extra calories, but wasn't burning them up with Breastfeeding anymore. So I had to cut back on my cals again. I drink green tea which helps curb my appetite and getting excercise when I can....its starting to melt off again.
