can you still contest it or not re: divorce? What are the next steps? Thanks

If you mean contest the actual divorce.....you can but it will shock the life out of the courts. People rarely refuse a divorce unless it is on extreme religious grounds. If you do contest it then be prepared for a high court hearing


If you think you have waivered some right to property or child arrangement you should contact a solicitor. Legal aid may be available for advice and assistance if you are eligible (not court representation unless domestic violence is involved)

You have 6 weeks from the acknowledge of service

You can contest the divorce and if you are smart you will hire a lawyer. you can not contest the service.

By the way, it is really you can contest the terms of the divorce, not really the divorce itself. The court will not force someone to remain married that does not wish to remain married.
