A question that DOESN'T REQUIRE an answer is called 'rhetorical' (rhetorical questions do have an answer, its just usually so obvious - that it need'nt be said)
There is no such thing as a question with NO ANSWER, (It may be that no-body knows the definitive answer of a question that can never be proved-e.g: does god exist? but the question CAN still be answered by somebody giving their opinion, - because an opinion on a question IS an answer, although not necessarily correct)

Perhaps you do mean a rhetorical question, as many are suggesting. But actually it is NOT true that a rhetorical question is one "with [that is having] no answer".
Definition -"A question posed without expectation of an answer but merely as a way of making a point"
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/rhetorical%20question
In fact, a rhetorical question most definitely DOES have an answer -- an answer considered so obvious, it need not be spoken.
A question that HAS no answer, that is, an insoluble question, might be one of these:
CONUNDRUM
"A paradoxical, insoluble, or difficult problem; a dilemma":
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/conundrum
ENIGMA
"something that baffles understanding and cannot be explained"
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/enigma

Superfluous.
I think you mean a question which you don't expect to be answered - then it's a rhetorical question.

if the question is not supposed to be answered then it is rhetorical
but if it just doesnt have an answer (ie. What is the square root of three punnets of potatoes?) then thats just a stupid question.
or a riddle/meditation thing.
eg. 'if a tree falls in the woods and no one hears it, does it make a sound?' that doesnt actually have an answer

If you mean a question that could be answered but isn't, it is referred to as "hanging".
