What a lot of awful, insulting answers you have had. Now and then I (a brunette as if it mattered) get a sound similar to air swishing round, or a little like the "sea sound" you get when you hold a shell to your ear. I believe it's most likely to be the sound of your blood pulsing through your veins, sometimes your ears pick up sounds that they don't normally notice because there is so much else going on. I notice it sometimes if I have let water get in my ears during a bath or washing my hair. You know how water distorts sounds, like in a swimming pool if you stick your head in the water! I think it's simply a distortion of our normal body sounds, as long as it's only now and then.

How many idiots there are on Yahoo Answers! Your question sounded like a perfectly valid one to me. They have posted idiotic answers because unlike you, they are not genuinely interested in learning anything new, and unlike me, they have no possible genuine intelligent answer (not that I am 100% sure of my answer but I think it's quite probable).

But they got a point for their crap, so they are happy.

Of course this criticism is not aimed at the intelligent ones who have posted genuine suggestions, just the idiots posting stupid "blonde" or "airhead" type responses.

Anyway I hope my answer is of help - at least I am taking your questions seriously.

I would say though that if you are getting this sound very regularly than a trip to the doctor may be a good idea. Someone with sense earlier suggested tinnitus, which is about nagging noises in the ear/s and if it is a real problem then get to your G.P. no matter what hair colour he or she has lol...

Are You Talking About The White Noise, That Simply Your Spirit, Chakras, Astral Body, Since Everything IS Energy.

There Also Light, And Warmth Radiation Around Our Body,

But Please Be Carefull, If you Listen to It. Control It, Eles You could start hearing voices and go insane. Works great for meditation, I think thats why monks fill there minds with static, when meditating.

Those Who Think That This Girl Is Stupid, Are Wrong, I Hope She Doesn't Ignore My Answer, Those Psychics Out There Who Read This Would Probably Deny My Because They Don't Want People To Know About It.

They'll Call You Stupid, But That How You Listen To The Astral Plane, Meaning Clairaudiance. Of Course That Require Throat Charkra Stimulation.

Anyways, General Health Doctor, Have lack Of Spiritual Knowledge, Therefore Consider Me Schizophrenia.

Anyways I'm Not Trying To Force Spirituality, Here. If you have an open mind that great.

It's important to say that tinnitus is a symptom and not a disease. Some people will have tinnitus because their Cochlea is damaged. And in a few, it could be caused due to hearing loss. But of course, the most common cause of tinnitus is exposure to loud noises. The noise can be a sudden burst, or it could be a constant banging that hits the ear drum and travels inside.

A good guide you can read about tinnitus and some good natural remedies can be found here: http://tinnitus.toptips.org

If I heard air swishing around in my head, I would think something was wrong.

But in this case, if I were you and did not hear air swishing around inside my head, I might think something was wrong. Nonetheless, you might want to check to see if you need a refill.
