There ARE ways to increase the chances of having a boy. What you need to keep in mind is that the sperm carries either an X or a Y chromosome. If it is an X that fertilizes your egg you get a girl. If it is a Y, it will be a boy.
X sperm are hearty and stay alive longer but swim slower. Y sperm are very fast swimmers but don't survive as long. With that in mind, if you want to increase your chances of having a boy you need to do whatever you can to get those Y sperm there before the X sperm. Some tips are to get really excited or have orgasms before he ejaculates so that you have a lot of sperm-friendly mucous and have him penetrate deeply. If you are capable of simultaneous orgasm this is a good idea too. Also it is advisable to avoid having sex until just before ovulation because if you have sex days before, those hearty X sperm will survive and be waiting for the egg to come out. (If you don't know when you ovulate consider starting to chart your bbt and keep an eye on your cervical mucous.)

Of course no method will guarantee any outcome, but this stuff will increase your chances. Good luck!

Gender selection of children is a controversial topic, particularly in terms of genetic therapy and the ethics of picking the sex of your child. While there certainly have been advances in the field of genetics, there are actually some natural and completely ethical things that you can do that will increase the likelihood of selecting a gender for your child.

While no method is 100% accurate, if you are determined to have a boy or a girl, there are a few things that can be done to significantly increase your chances of conceiving the gender of your choice. Remember, the most important thing is to have a healthy baby, regardless of their gender. But if you do want to try to pick the gender of your child, it is possible. Here's what you need to know.
Differences in Sperm
The sperm that carry the Y chromosome are the "boy" sperms, while the ones that carry the X chromosome are the "girl" sperms. The Y sperm are faster, smaller, more agile but they do not last as long as the "girl" sperm. The X sperm are bigger and move quite slowly. In addition to their overall speed, they have different preferences in terms of the acidity of the vagina and cervix. An X sperm does better in an acidic environment while the Y sperm prefer an alkaline environment.
How These Differences Affect Conception
Now that we have established the differences between the sperm that carry different chromosomes, it is important to understand how these differences can be used for natural gender selection. Once you have this information, you can begin trying to conceive a child that will be a specific gender.
If you want to have a boy, the timing is crucial. Since these sperm do not live long, it is vital to time your intercourse as closely to ovulation as possible. This gives the Y sperm time to reach the egg before the X sperm do, increasing the chances that you will have a boy.
If you want to have a girl, you need to give the X sperm plenty of time to reach the egg. Since they live longer, this means that you want to time intercourse a few days before expected ovulation. By the time you ovulate, the Y sperm will have already died off, leaving only the X sperm behind. They will have the time needed to travel up through the cervix to reach the egg and fertilize it.

Geez Lady. A lab can pick out only the male sperm and implant them. This may take several tries and is expensive. If your mates family has mostly boys and your family has mostly boys the chances are in favor of a boy. I had five girls One of my daughters has two boys another 1 boy 3 girls. #3 2 boys
#4 2 boys #5 one of each so sperm selection is only way that would guarantee a high chance of a boy since the father determine the sex of the child.

It is called the shettles method:

the Shettles Method is based on the premise that sperm carrying the X and Y chromosomes have different characteristics and that you can influence the reproductive environment to favor one or the other. While there is some controversy surrounding both the credibility and the morality of the method, here's how the theory goes:

It is the sperm that fertilizes the egg that will determine the sex of your baby. Some sperm carry the X-chromosome and some sperm carry the Y-chromosome. If an X-chromosome-carrying sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be a girl. If a Y-chromosome-carrying sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be a boy.

The idea behind the Shettles Method of sex selection is based on the premise that the X and Y chromosome carrying sperm have different characteristics and that under different circumstances either X- or Y-chromosome-carrying sperm will be more likely to fertilize the egg.

The Y-chromosome-carrying sperm are said to:

be faster and smaller than the X-chromosome carrying sperm.
die faster than the X-chromosome-carrying sperm.
The X-chromosome-carrying sperm are said to:

be slower than the Y-chromosome carrying sperm.
be better able to withstand the acidic cervical environment before fertile cervical fluid is produced.
Based on these premises, according to Shettles, you can time intercourse, choose a sexual position that favors conception of your preferred sex and influence the reproductive environment to increase the likelihood of conceiving your preferred sex. These are the suggestions from Dr. Shettles:

To Get A Boy (According to Shettles):

Time intercourse as close to ovulation as possible: The idea is that since the Y-chromosome sperm are faster than the X-chromosome sperm, there will be more Y-chromosome sperm who reach the egg, making it more likely that a Y-chromosome carrying sperm will fertilize the egg.
Abstain from intercourse for four to five days prior to ovulation. Have intercourse only just at the time of ovulation and just before.
Have intercourse that allows for deep penetration. Shettles recommends rear-entry (aka, “*****-style”). The idea is that the sperm will be deposited closer to the cervix where cervical fluid is most friendly to the Y-chromosome sperm and where the “boy sperm” are more likely to survive since there is less distance to travel.
Men avoid tight clothes: heat kills off both types of sperm, but will kill off the less protected, smaller Y-chromosome sperm faster, according to Shettles.
Women have an orgasm: According to Shettles, female orgasm increases the alkaline secretions in the vagina that are favorable to the Y-chromosome carrying sperm. Shettles recommends having an orgasm before or at the same time as the male partner.
To Get a Girl (According to Shettles):

Have intercourse 2-3 days before ovulation and avoid intercourse just before ovulation until 2 days after ovulation and when you have peak cervical fluid: The idea is that when you have sex a few days before ovulation, only the X-chromosome “girl sperm” will be left in the female reproductive tract waiting to fertilize the egg when it is released.
Have intercourse with shallow penetration: Shettles recommends “missionary position”or any position that will deposit the sperm slightly away from the cervix, giving advantage to the longer living, but slower X-chromosome-carrying sperm.
Women avoid orgasm: Shettles suggests women avoid orgasm because it makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, and less acidic and is disadvantageous to the X-chromosome “girl sperm”.

Good luck and I hope you get the little baby boy!

Hun, I hate to burst your bubble! But there is virtually no way to predict to have a baby boy!

I wish there were, but there isn't. Your hubby just has to carry there right chromosones for it to occur.

And possibly try asking God for one! It wouldn't hurt any!

Good luck with your journey! I hope you get your little boy that you want! :o)

Take care and happy holidays!!

You hope that a strong Y gamete meets up with your egg. I hear you can control the gender of your baby, but I think that's messing with a natural process that should be left to form on its own.

"They" say if you want a boy you should have sex as close to ovulation as possible. Apparently "male" sperm are faster than "female" so they will reach the egg faster. If an egg is already there, then it is more likely that more male sperm will reach it first.

Of course, it isn't foolproof, but worth a try if you want. *baby dust*
