yes, but a lot of teens will still drink. there's not really anything we can do about their decisions. maybe that's why so many health classes teach young kids not to drink. it helps

Well, the current drinking age does not give us these protections. I do not see why raising the age will make any difference. You would just have more people breaking the law and still getting drunk.

Safer drivers. It is very common to read about people less than 21 out drunk driving. It is also even more common to hear about sober people driving like morons.

older college students would do better in class. The kids in college still have access to all the alcohol they want. They just get into more trouble if they are caught with it. Raising the drinking age will not affect this.

healther americans. Like I have said before, the drinking age is not stopping people from drinking. It slows them down a bit but the imbibing still happens. Today, the most unhealthy thing for Americans is not drinking. It is weight issues. Eating poorly and leading a sedentary lifestyle is the biggest problem. It is not drinking.

I cannot think of a reason to raise the drinking age that makes any sense.

I don't think they should lower the minimum age because one way or another they are going to get their hands on alcohol. I thought that the amount of alcohol sold to one person should be limited but that would be hard to control as well. I think it all comes down to how drinking laws are enforced. I think there should be harsher punishment for drinking and driving or driving under the influence of any controled substance.

I think that raising the drinking age is puritanical. I would be old enough to drink still but I think that the reason we have so many binge drinkers in america is because it is "so forbidden" and people want to rebel.

Absolutely not. We already have the highest drinking age in the world. Raising the drinking age is not the answer to alcohol related problems.
