It's okay to wear a thong if you feel comfortable doing so, and you're wearing to avoid VPL (not to let top peek out of your pants). If you're not comfortable with it, you could always try the No-Show panties from Victoria's Secret. Very comfortable.

You have to feel comfortable with it and in it. If it is an uncertain effort, wait. Some people find them annoying. Others would never go back. A plus is that there are no lines in softer cotton pants or softer cotton tight skirts. For jeans and denim skirts it doesn't matter. What you gain then, is no visible lines - a clean, smooth fabric. But you will also get voyeurs. A risk is that if you wear a synthetic or silk dress or skirt the fabric really hugs your cheeks and because the thong 'divides and parts' it is really really evident! And so you WILL get guys (and maybe girls) looking and wondering. Up to you; you must feel confident and comfortable, be oblivious or impervious to them but all the while aware of your environment, who's looking and what risk, they impose. Most people just perve, most... Otherwise wait. You've got heaps of time to experiment with clothes. Ciao.

I started wearing one when i was 13. I think it is fine to wear them at your age, as long as you aren't slutty about it (don't let it hang out or wear a dark thong under white pants or under a skirt) I was so embarrassed to ask my mom for permission to wear them, but she totally understood. Good luck, I'm sure she will understand!

when you are trying to eliminate panty lines in your clothes. it has nothing to do wiht your age. If you are that young though, i would probably buy larger pants. you can also wear seamless boyshorts instead of a thong. It achieves the same thing.
the key is to wear seamless under garments like Jockey's no panty line promise line or the seamless body by victoria line by VS.
I am 32 and refuse to wear them. there is no point if you buy seamless styles of any kind.

When you are 16 or older, I think that it should be ok. They have different ones that aren't thongs that don't show lines. I didn't start wearing them until I was 25. . .

Perosonally i dont know, i dont wear thongs. Im 15 and i no alot of ppl who do and in grade 7 i noticed alot of girls in my gym class wore them too. I dont think your mom will get upset cuz its not like you want to wear one for any unappropriate reason. Like most girls i no, u want/need to wear it because of the underwear line you get. dont stress u should ask your mom what she thinks first though ⥠⥠â¥

A thong? At 14? If anyone see's it they will immediately assume your a player or a s l u t. So you can wear it if you want, but it's uncomfortable and you can give guys the wrong idea.
Good Luck!
