Celebrity endorsements have not helped nor hindered candidates much in the past. I believe most people are smart enough to see that she is a private citizen supporting her candidate. If I had billions like her and a TV show I might want to do the same thing. Why? Because I can, that's why. Her audience loves her for her show and her show biz work and probably always will but that doesn't mean they necessarily agree with her politically. I, for example, enjoy the game show, "Wheel of Fortune" and I know Pat Sajak is a right wing looney but since he doesn't bring up his political beliefs I don't mind. I like the show and would still watch if he did promote his candidate. I am able to separate entertainment from politics. Some people obviously cannot.

Just saw her in a movie. Never watch day tv and especially don't like celebrity guests and hosts type shows. she can support obama and chuck norris can support his republican. i don't care.
I just want somebody who will be more concerned about the home economy and stop wasting billions, allowing predatory lending, losing good jobs to the lowest bidder while subsidizing us business placing jobs overseas, etc etc.
I liked the Bill Clinton poliicies much more than what Bush policy has proven to be. Bill Clinton ran on the slogan: It's the economy stupid! It was and it still is. The closest thing to Bill Clinton is Hillary Clinton. As it stands, while a half black man would be nice, I will stick with the Clintons. Two for the price of one!

Never - I think it will increase. She may not get as many political people on her show, but it will help! Obama is going to win in New Hampshire, who would have thought?

While individuals have long memories, the public as a whole does not. Six months after they election, the public wont care who she backed.

Opera singers are usually overweight. I would think Opera people siding with Obama would be bad for our GOP.

You can't associate with politicians for very long without absorbing some of their odor.

No, it will her boost her as a activist.
It would easy for her to shut up and be neutral, but she is taking an active role in Democracy and that's to be commended.

Are you kidding? We love Oprah and we love her more when she is fat. We Adore her when she gives us cars! Her audience will only increase until the day she retires or dies.
