My tastes vary from Thrash, hardcore, mellow and funk/soul. Currently listening to Billie Holliday. Just had a quick look and Bowie, Isaac Hayes, Curtis Mayfield and Millie Jackson figure most prominently in my collection after Iggy Pop, Iron Maiden and Killing Joke. How about you and yours?

Thinking about ways in which pregnancy affects the woman is a difficult thing for many anti-choice people because their concern is with the foetus. As a mature woman I find it hard to put myself into a mindspace where I would regard my looks as my primary value, but I do know that when I was younger I might well have added them to a list of 'assets'. Certainly, in many places and in many people's minds, a woman's appearance is hugely important ~ a substantial and potentially defining characteristic. Essentially, the point is ~ we can't know what is important to someone else, and we can't know why it is important. Those who preach a 'one size fits all' world view forget that theirs are not the only eyes through which someone's life might be viewed. And that's why it remains important that the person making important decisions about medical procedures ~ of whatever nature or however 'controversial ~ should be the person most directly involved, and the advisers he or she chooses based on her or his own particular set of life circumstances. In the case of abortion, that person is, manifestly, the woman. Cheers :-)

Well, Frank Zappa would win with about 60 albums (LP's and CD's). After that, probably about 20 Deep Purple albums, and about a dozen or so each from Sarah McLachlan, Pat Metheny, Miles Davis, PFM, Metallica, JJ Cale, Andreas Vollenweider, Stereolab, Keith Jarret and the Grateful Dead, out of a total of about 700 last time I counted.

i've got about that much too. let's see:

julie doiron- 5 albums
hollAnd- 7 albums
kreator- 9 albums
shudder to think- 8 albums
olivia newton john- 13 albums
stereolab- 8 albums
steel eye span- 7 albums
yes- 15 albums

i think those represent the most records and cd's. but they don't necessarily represent my favorites per say. they just happen to be really prolific artists or ones that have been around for a long time.

I've got more Steeleye Span than anything else - but after that it's Whitesnake then Black Sabbath. Others high on the list are Led Zep, Bon Jovi & Sarah McLachlan.
