I’m babysitting my seven year old neighbor for the first time tomorrow evening, and his parents have asked me to come up with a price for doing it but I’m unsure how much I should ask for. Michael (My Seven Year Old Neighbor) is pretty well behaved so it won’t be that difficult taking care of him hence not asking more for that, and his parents will be gone for about an hour and a half to two hours. Any idea’s on prices? I’m pretty unsure.

Tell them "$10 or $15", and they'll probably end up giving you $20. Not bad for 1½ hours.

I wouldnt just say "$10 per hour" because if they ever need you for say, 5 or 6, its very unlikely they will hand over 50-60 dollars, especially for a well behaved kid. Thats quite a bit of money.

For an hour or two, I think its very acceptible to ask for a higher rate than if its many hours, usually its more of a flat rate for more than a few hours if its daily.

I think its odd that the parents are asking YOU what they should pay you. Sounds like they might be trying ti screw you hoping this will put you in an awkward position and you'll give them a low price. I wouldnt take less than 20 for 2 hours.

relies upon on the quantity of babies. If it replaced into basically a million baby, i could fee 5$ an hour, then approximately 3$ consistent with further baby. Or if I babysit for a sequence time, say 7pm- 2am I in simple terms ask for a flat fee of 30$.

I would say $25. for two hours.now if it was more I would say $8 an hour but since its only 1-2 hours I would say $25 for 2 hours.
