On the 20 and final public hearing of the 9/11 commsion report. Intelligence experts explained that support of Israel and and American foreign policy was in large to blame.
Our immorality leaking into their culture, greed driven by our corporations, women not knowing their place, acceptance of gays, premarital sex and consumerism (worshiping money over god)

Ok pepsi_chugger8899 and others of you that have a problem with my details.
These are not my opinions these are what has been concluded by those who we paid to investigate these events. It is also what we have been told by those who claim responsibility and celebrated the attacks.

I read all the answers above, and I believe there are many intelligent people who answered this question.
Before there was Yahoo Answers, I decided to write many chapters about my feelings on 911.
I grew up in N.Y.C. I went to where the Twin Towers once stood...many times. When young, my dad took me there to look at what the stores had for sale. It was then a place for international trade. That memory I still have, along with the memory of visiting the Twin Towers...and some people who happened to be working there on Sept. 11, 2001.
I haven't forgotten anything.
For people to close their minds and decide it's similar to the Pearl Harbor attacks is not what I suggest.
Because I follow how capitalism works, and have been charting stocks for over twenty years, I have some interesting points to make.
The question is what would anyone want to pay to know what probably ( I say probably because we can never know the complete truth) happened?
People have paid to want to get some answers.
So far, nobody gave a good interpretation and many people have paid to read what their opinion is.
People who make big money writing books have given their views, but nobody has really gotten to the heart of the matter.
I decided not to pursue my writings, having solved 911 for myself. That alone gives me confidence to go forward and not have to cave in to other peoples' theories and ridiculous actions regarding all those events that make up for a horrible day in U.S. history.
The United States has had many perplexing and horrible events in it's illustrative history. 911 sticks out as one of the worst. I feel much sympathy for all those who perished and for those who continue to suffer due to what I feel mostly revolves around the economic system we live under.
I have clues, I did many hours of work on my own time.
Many young people like you will want to keep pondering this question because it's been haunting your mind and the mind of many more who desire answers.
hassan younes is right..it's complicated...too complicated for a normal mind to comprehend. A mind wants to be attracted to what makes sense, and often jumps to conclusions blindsightedly. I keep my mind open.
Frosty says we can only speculate. I have done lots of speculating. I have compiled facts and those facts keep pointing to an economic event that transfers a piece of valuable real estate to a better useful purpose, over many years time, in a vibrant economy now favoring global expansion.
And then we have "woman's place". That got the ire up of those free women who want to be in charge. Now that is an entirely different avenue of pursuit, one of many avenues spawned by 911.
911, the Kennedy assasinations, Martin Luther King, Oklahoma City bombing of the Murrah building, the horse drawn cart that exploded in downtown N.Y.C. some 80 years ago that killed over thirty people(Sept. 16, 1920)...it goes on and on.
We are starving for answers.
I have them...not all, but enough to draw some startling conclusions.
When you visit your local supermarket again, think how wonderful capitalism is and how easy you can buy the things you need. This comes with a price. Sometimes a high price.
It wasn't always like that.
I follow the money trail and capitalism.
I hope my views gave you some feeling of resolution.
Having done my homework, I am relieved.

There is so much disagreement publicly for several reasons:
- Some believe that the USA is the real victim here (False)
- Some believe that the terrorists are really victims (False)
- White racists would like nothing better than to kill off more non-white, non-Christian cultures (True)
- Non-white racists would like nothing better than to kill off all white Americans and Jews (True)
- Some Americans are afraid to publicly say what they really think for fear of being called anti-American (True)
- EVERYONE forgets that taking innocent lives is ALWAYS wrong, not just because we're in the USA
Innocent people, NOT the countries in which they live, are the victims. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

Because the US is the new Boogy-Man. That and many people in many countries don't like Americans and the US due to the frequently encountered "I'm better than you" attitude their government and many of their people seem to radiate. How many times have you heard someone cry out "You can't do this to me, I'm a US Citizen!"
That and Revisionism at it's ugliest. It used to be that the Revisionists would wait a generation or more before re-writing history. They seem to have sped-up their time tables. The way they're going, they'll start writing why the US decided to drop nukes on every country on the planet...except the US...in the year 2025, and pass it of as accomplished factual historical events. I forsee this coming to pass (the future revisionism) in the next 5-10 years. ;)

Because no one is willing to admit the truth - that muslims have wanted to destroy the west for a long time.
The media refused to focus on the partying all over the world by muslims when they saw it happen. The parties alone, not just by the so-called fanatics, should be enough evidence, that we need to be careful of Islam - it is an evil religion.
The same thing happened in Indonesia, but no-one cared about the muslim threat until they attacked the west.

I was once at paintings. I heard the dj's get truly critical they usually have been announcing that the aircraft hit the constructing and prefer "what?", then 10 mins later they stated one other hit the constructing. it was once loopy. The radio station fired the ones 2 dj/s considering they supposedly didn't manage the statement good. How have been they meant to manage that? Makes you surprise.

I'm with naked on this one.Tell me where is a women's place. And how you have the right to tell us where our "place" is.
Who gives a flying fig about worshiping money over god. Forgive us, we have religious freedom. I think that greed is a sin, i'm Christian, but i'm for people have separate beliefs, and if they don't believe in this certain God, that does not mean that they are bad people.
So you can take your little ideas of bad morals and shove it.
That may have something to do with 9/11, but i doubt it highly.

Could be the conspiracy theories thrown out, or people blinded by religious dogma. What truly motivates some one to commit mass murder to further their religious beliefs? Ask a Catholic, or a Muslim Or a Hindu or a Jew. They've all done it!

Ultimately wasn't it hate that motivated the attacks? Someone's hate of Israel... hate of women... hate of gays... hate of the American culture. Ultimately hate is learned by intolerence and often that intolerence is perpetuated by religion or religious beliefs. Most wars are fought over religion.
