There is particularly now not a "pre-med" principal in line with se. All scientific faculties require particular necessities to use (probably a number of biology, chemistry, and physics categories, amongst others) Since such a lot of technological know-how categories are required, such a lot persons principal within the technological know-how subject. However, it's not required for such a lot faculties. So sure, you'll be able to have a Bachelor's in something, so long as you are taking the technological know-how necessities, and nonetheless observe. It could be very useful to have a well technological know-how historical past to arrange oneself for scientific college. I wager that's why getting a measure within the technological know-how subject is so totally encouraged. My husband is a primary yr scholar. He attends categories 30-forty hours per week and experiences on normal approximately 50 hours a week, provide or take (five hours on weekdays, 12 hours/day on weekends). Also, I will notice he isn't the "over-achiever" style. He need to research this a lot, to be able to maintain the huge quantity of fabric. Everyone is exclusive regardless that. Good success!

as with any class, it's as hard as you want it to be--i.e. it will be hard if you don't put a lot of effort into learning or use all the resources available to you (i.e. TAs and the professor)
if you've never taken a biology course (besides highschool) be prepared to learn TONS of new terminology.
passing with grace and style? hmm...don't be afraid to not be technical e.g., i always managed to confuse my TAs with my lab reports--many of them thought i was an art or literature major because i always added artistic diagrams and i did not write in a sterile, boring, laboratory way (but avoid too whimsical creativity, some "scientists" may not appreciate that...but i do)
also, it's a good idea to read ahead =)

I would hook up with a study partner right away. Get the best of the class by asking around how they like it so far.

yes, it is hard. If you are prepared every day to learn, listen and ask yourself and others questions, you should do fine. Take an active role in your learning and understanding and it will come easier to you.
