Installing a program is a fairly "low ram intensive" process ... running that same program, as you've discovered is an entirely different matter ... Ram is fairly cheap at the moment ... go to crucial.com do a memory scan and it will give you areport teling the type of ram you have ... then you can do some research and price enough to get your game running happily

Before answering your question I have a couple for you. What operating sytem does the game require to play?? What operating system do you have? Without knowing those things amount of available memory is meaningless.

maybe it meant 512mb video RAM (i.e. video card having 512mb RAM) and not your's system or computer RAM.

RAM means memory of your computer. But because advanced video /graphics card need memory or RAM to improve performance (like 3d design or latest video game , these card have special RAM for video display only. To cut cost, some computer reserved memory/RAM from system for video card but the video performance of those card lacks compare to video cards having special RAM on themself.

I'd guess your video card doesn't meet the minumum specs.
