We play a family game called "white elephant". Dont ask why, I dont know why its called that! We gather together, 15-20 people and each person puts a small 5-10 $ gift on the table. Each person gets a number and gets a gift off the table in order. If you like another persons gift, you can choose to steal it away or get a gift off the table. The FUNNY tradition we added is the "DIRTY RAT" . Its an old rubber rat from 1995 or so. The dirty rat has become a favorite tradition! Here here to the ole dirty rat!

I received an electric pizza cutter, it had a cord sticking out of the handle but you still had to move it across the pizza so the wheel would spin and cut the pizza just like the non-electric one

I think the worst gifts were mostly from my sister. She gave me the exact same blouse 2 years in a row. She used to give me the free gift you get when you buy make up. One year, she gave me a Suze Orman book and a bank made out of a wrapped up Pringles can. The second place winner would be my former mother-in-law who gave me two of the same sweater one year...same color and everything, and another time gave us matching outfits. My husband was tall and skinny and I'm short and round even when thin. We looked just ridiculous in brown ribbed turtlenecks shirts under orange plaid wool CPO jackets. And we're both allergic to wool.

My great Aunt Ruth used to give us a $5 bill in a Christmas card every year for Christmas. One Christmas my two brothers opened up their envelope, pulled out the card, which had their $5 in it. I opened up mine and the envelope was empty ... no card ... no $5. I looked up and knew that she had forgot to put anything in it so I said "Thank you very much, you shouldn't have." "Your very welcome dear. I showed the envelope to my brother who was sitting beside me and he didn't know what I was showing him. I told him "This is all I got" He couldn't stop laughing. It is now a story that is told every Christmas and worth more to me than the $5.
