1) You might have gotten pregnant before 27th. Even with effective condom use there is still a chance of pregnancy if there is even a tear.
2) The time you ovulate on Average is at the 14-16 day mark. However, since sperm can survive in the female body on average of three days, if you had sex before the 14th mark and perhaps a day or two after the 16th mark; there is also a chance. An egg is flushed between 12 to 24 hours.
3) There are some women who ovulate more than once in a month. I know a girl who usually ovulates twice a month.

It is possible, you could have ovulated later then most women. You could be further then you think, my best friend had 2 periods before they stopped on both of her pregnancies. You could have also gotten one of the very rare false positives. Go to the doctor and get a blood test done. The do base your inital due date on LMP but that can change once they get the ultrasound done. That is the most accurate way to determine concpetion dates and due dates. Good luck

YOU are defiantly ovulating the week before your period. You body is preparing for your period the week before it comes. Remember-the eggs leaves your tubes the week before, embeds itself to your uterus, if no sperm comes in contact with it it separates and you have your period. 7 to 14 days before your period is when you can get pregnant. This is how I conceived my daughter. Get a book on reproduction.
