Why do they called an "adam's apple" when women have one too?

And yes women have adam's apple but there just not as noticeable as men's are.

Shouldn't they call it an "eve's apple" for women?

Perhaps when they named it they didn't realize women had one too.

Or maybe it's just because it's more prevelant in men.

Or maybe it's because the apple was the fruit that Eve got Adam to eat and maybe it got caught in his throat.

well Adams apples are much bigger on boys and the actual size of a small apple but on a girl there tiny so not really and apple so calling it Adams apple makes more sense because it is more of an apple on boys like Adam lol :P
