absolutely not.
if i were you, i think a better choice would be to go to the batterd women's center.
an even better choice would be to post an ad in the paper for a live-in maid with experience.
people in homeless shelters are usually homeless for a reason.
and letting just anybody into your home is not a good idea.
[ever heard the story of the elizabeth smart case?? wiki that!]
and if you DO choose to go with the homeless shelter, get a complete criminal background check on the person, and make sure they are legal residents (if living in the US)- i know someone who had an illegal alien living with them in a similar situation and she got arrested for harboring an illegal immigrant!

Sure why not, and yeah thats basically it. You have to give them freedom of your home cuase now they're basically part of it.
