In the past 20+ years she has been very famous she has never 'endoursed' a president and MANY have run that have the same ideas as Mr. Obama. I agree with some of Obama's ideas as well so I hope no one will think im bad for saying this but in my thoughts, No. I don't think so. I'v watched some of what she said about MLK and YES, he was a Great Man but the way she says things about him and what he's said and done extremely exuberates the fact that he was black and makes references of the similarities between him and Barak which makes it feel like she wants him to be president because the fact he is black. He would be a good President but none of his ideals really stick out in my mind much. But same with Hiliary. It would be different if Oprah didn't travel around in Baraks back pocket like she seems to be doing and if she wasnt so loud and her thoughts about it wern't so stressed. If she didnt use her celebrity as a way to get him into office then I think everyone would think differently.

So now oprahs a racist? And her speaking of martin luther king is why she favors black people? That is the dumbest statement i ever heard.MLK was a nation man he wanted equality for all people. You people kill me...I bet if she was endorsing hillary clinton than people would say shes a feminist. It's a problem if she endorses anyone but the white man. If she was endorsing John edwards or gulianna would we be having this Race forum or a would we be talking about their views of the canidate she chose. Wow racism will never end because of idiots. It seems like whenever theres a good person in this world and they make mistakes people dwell on their bad and downplay all their good...u guys want another george bush in office huh, the man who veto childrens health bills and lowers taxes for the rich. thats what wrong with the USa theres no unity because all people care about is race. Do you know what happens to a divided country? It crumples!

Would Chuck Norris endorse Huckabee if he was black?
The problem with the question is it is undefined. Would Barack Obama be the same person if he was not black? Or would his life experiences put him on a different road. Your question implies that Oprah is only endorsing him because he is black. The problem with the statement is that Oprah has never publicly endorsed anyone before black or white? She never endorsed Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, or Alan Keyes so your logic fails the litmus test. It is far more likely, based on her well documented history of intelligent discourse, that she supports his plan to change America and trusts him enough to follow through with it. Any other implication is irrational and irresponsible.

It doesn't seem likely. If that is the case then why hasn't she already endorsed a white candidate? Don't you think she would have been excited to have a women run and endorse Hillary??
Recently in NH Oprah brought up Dr. Martin Luther King. So, right away what does that tell you?

I'm afraid that race is probably an enormous factor in Oprah's endorsement, and as such, I would have to say that the answer is no- she would not endorse him if not for the color of his skin, which is, in my personal opinion, very sad. Too much emphasis on pigmentation in this world... Of course, I could be wrong, but I truly doubt it significantly.

Oprah is a status hound. She gets her nuts off "managing & manipulating people to only see her view point! As long as she is in "control" of the or "any" situation she will endorse "any one" that will bring to her, her glory!
She has been playing the race card for ever if one cares to check into it!

He never endorsed any presidential candidates before. Probably because they were all white.

No way, Jose! But she is damn sure making a difference. I wonder whether or not it is a good difference or a bad difference. Cannot decide. She will certainly lose some audience share forever. It will cost her financially and and taint her credibility as it did Barbara Streisand and other "stars" who forget their role.

Come on now it sounds like you wanted to make a statement rather than ask a question...this may not be what you wanted to hear but Oprah has never showed any signs of racism or prejudice. All the canidates both have good and bad baggage she made a choice becuase she likes his perspective and his views it has nothing to do with him being black. If she sided with hillary clinton then I guess shes a feminist huh. Thats ridiculous to for people to come up with this farfetched theories when theres no proof. Does race and gender mean everything in this world?
