i have a cartilage piercing, and i want more =)

First of all, at only 14, you've got quite awhile to think about all the things you want to do, so don't worry too much. Second of all, yes, tattoos and piercings can prevent you from getting certain jobs. If you walk into a psychologists office with tattoos and piercings and another person walks in in a business suit, no visible tattoos nor piercings.... guess who looks more professional and is probably going to get the job. You know what I mean? It sucks and its not "fair", but that's the way it is. That being said, there are lots of jobs that you CAN get with tattoos and piercings. Third of all, almost all tattoos can be covered and almost all piercings can be removed for work purposes. Just wear long sleeves to job interviews and remove all your jewelry. No big deal. Once you get the job, review the rules and regulations about visible piercings and piercings. You may have to keep tattoos covered while you're working, but that's not that big of a deal if you're doing what you love. My mother is 54 years old and has several visible tattoos and facial piercings. She also has purple hair. After the medical company that she had been with for over 25 years closed down, she had to find a job again. She was hired at another medical office despite all her tattoos and piercings.

Got my left ear pierced when I was 19, no tattoos though, although I am thinking of getting one someday.
