Yes the word " action " is a verb not a noun, a noun is a person, place or thing " He Took Action" or She took Immediate action" and with that kind of action who could ever get bored, and it can be used as an adverb!

No, it;'s a noun for what a verb does. Test: Can you make it plural by adding s? Does it make sense to say "an action" or "the action"? On the other hand, does it make sense to put a past tense ending (ed) on it? Or an ing ending? Or to say, "He actions"? The first two are characteristics of nouns; the last three are characteristics of verbs.

No...it's a noun in that form. It's a verb or adverb if you say "acting" or "active" depending on how you use it in a sentence. "Action" is a "thing". It can also be used to describe a noun as an adjective.

Actually it's a noun most of the time. Ironic huh?
Noun: He took action. (took is the verb)
Adjective: Look at that action car! (action describes the noun car, look is the verb)
Verb: She actioned against the court. (This is the rarest use but the form of action in this sentence is a verb)

yes.
it depends on the use. it can be a noun, adjective, or verb! Here, I'll give you examples...
this is a crisis that demands action. - NOUN
that was a great action movie. - ADJECTIVE
she actioned the company for discrimination! - VERB
sure, people can argue that verb have to be "actions"... but low and behold one of the definitions of action is: put in effect; "carry out a task". Example: He actioned the operation.
