I know there are some obvious ones Sakic, Jagr, Brodeur to name just a few. Who else currently active will most likely qualify? Don't include young guys who will probably develop into hall of famers, I just want some opinions of veterans whose resumes are nearly complete. Thanks!

Goaltenders
Martin Brodeur, Ed Belfour and Dominik Hasek are highly likely to go
Curtis Joseph, Sean Burke, and Chris Osgood will get consideration

Defence
Scott Niedermayer, Chris Pronger, Nicklas Lidstrom, Brian Leetch, and Chris Chelios are highly likely to go
Rob Blake, Adam Foote, Sergei Zubov and Sergei Gonchar will receive consideration

Forwards
Joe Sakic, Teemu Selanne, Mike Modano, Mats Sundin, and Jaromir Jagr are in
Sergei Fedorov, Brendan Shanahan, Mark Recchi, Jeremy Roenick, and Pierre Turgeon will get consideration.

To the person who suggested Rod Brind'Amour.............not a chance. He took 300 games longer to reach 1,000 points than Brian Propp, Glenn Anderson, Bobby Smith, Bernie Nicholls, Dino Ciccarelli, Steve Larmer, Doug Gilmour, Luc Robitaille, Alexander MOgilny, and Theoren Fleury (all who did it in less than a 1,000 games, almost all have a Stanley Cup - and none are in the Hall of Fame). Brind'Amour's career numbers pale in comparison to all of these men.

Recchi, Brind'amour, Neidermyer (I think I spelled that wrong) to name a few. also guys like Lindstrom, and Chelios if just for his longevity.

And of course the obvious ones you named.

the thing with the HoF is that only so many ever get the chance to go in. If a guy isn't a obvious or pretty obvious choice, he probably won't be in.

Nylander should be, but he probabily will be overlooked for a more flashy player.
