An epidural is just a pain killer injected to freeze things below the waist. Kinda like when you go to the dentist. It's temporary and the drug gets broken down by the body and flushed away via body fluids being eliminated (sweat, urine) in the time it takes for the pain to return. So NO it doesn't really matter, nor is it too soon , nor will it hurt baby #2.
What I'm more concerned about is that your little girl needs your full attention and the financial burden hasn't even begun and you're already going on #2? Hello!! Birth control?

According 2 personal experience, it doesn't matter. My sister inlaw gave birth to her first child via epidural, and 8 months later gave birth again via epidural. The only concern her Dr. had was that the uterus would not be able to carry full term because she didn't allow her body to fully heal before concieving again and went back to work immediately after and before her 6 week post partum. Her 2nd child was infact delivered 6 weeks premature with no complications. The only pitfall she's experienced with having had epidurals is that her lower back aches severly during the winter months or when it's cold, if it's epidural related she does not know but prior to the epidurals she had never experienced back problems.....I hope this helps......

You should be just fine. My nephews are 14 months old and 2 months old. First one, she got an epidural. Second, she was supposed to get one, but she went from 4 cm to 10 in about 15 minutes. But, her doctor was fine with her getting one, so you should do just fine. My mother has also gotten epidural injections in her neck for 3 herniated discs, and her orthopedist allowed her 3 in a 12 month period. I don't foresee any issues with you getting an epidural for your next labor. Good luck!

You need to ask your Dr. about this. But by the time you have your next baby, it will be a little over a year that you have had one. And several women have had kids this close before, so I don't think it would affect you. Did you have any complications with your first one?

Assuming everything goes well, you have seven months left. That's about a year between the shots, you should be fine.
One of my friends found herself in a similar situation...and she had no trouble at all.
Though keep in mind, everyone's tolerances are different and it's always best to consult your dr.

I would say that there isn't anything to worry about, otherwise your doctor would be questioning you...i looked online at a few websites for you and couldnt find any topics on this specific matter, sorry.

This is exactly the kind of question you can ask your doctor. You can even ask the anaesthesiologist, if you know him/her.
