What is this world coming to??
I just fell down the stairs(just a few) outside the house and a person walked by and didn't laugh or even look--I mean what type of person doesn't notice someone falling? And have the decency to snicker? I kept balance of my parcels tho!

I would've laughed - but then got my butt kicked since I was supposed to clear the ice off earlier :)

Ever since I was a kid, I was always the 1st to start laughing. Mom would always warn that one day I'd laugh at the wrong person....hasn't happened. :)
But I've never seen anyone fall down a whole flight O' stairs! lol...well, except that baker guy w/ all the cakes & pies on Sesame Street! That s*it is still funny all these years later!

You're only allowed to laugh after you get the words "are you all right" across your lips ... No matter how painful, no laughing is allowed before they respond. Non verbal responses are allowed ...
Smiling painfully (from trying to hold the laugh back) is acceptable but not recommended !
I believe, as the person above said, I have broken many ribs trying to hold it in until it is acceptable....

Well, I fell one time in the snow while trying to catch a bus( I slide and my legs were in the air in front of bus) and people around didn't laugh but I laughed because they didn't laugh. LOL

I would have asked if you're ok and then turned my face and laughed. Some people are so sensitive and get offended if you laugh at them. I on the other hand would love it if someone laughed- it actually makes it less embarassing.

I think many people laugh when someone trips and falls. I guess that is why three stooges were so popular!
