I actually do play for a semi-professional soccer team, complete with the bumps and bruises that go along with it.
I can't help you with the Lortab, but Advil's usually my friend after the games. Good luck, sir!

I participate in competitive sports just not physical contact sports
my sports are Archery Trap Skeet and Sporting Clays
As far as the knee stiffening that is normal for a "couch potato" hope that doesn't mean you are one.
As for the Lortab I have a few laying around....don't know how good they are but I have a few

I'm 35 and I can hold my own with the teens in the neighborhood playing paintball, but I feel your pain. I'm a better shot than most of them anyway...hoowah! I tend to go for the sniper/ stalker tactics more so than run & gun.
I fell off a cliff and had a compound tib/fib fracture in '07 and it still gets to be painful at the knee cap, where they hammered the titanium rod in, along with screws.
Plus I smoke, which doesn't help matters any...:D
Good luck, ol' skool represent! :D I find that beer, whisky, and/or rum go along great with Advil for pain relief. LOL!

I play soccer, football, and run in races. Do I ache afterward? Sometimes. Especially when I get my toes stepped on or get tripped or bashed around. I still play though and I'm more resilient to injury because I put myself at risk of injury...if that makes sense.

I play Hockey and Soccer with my church. At first it felt strange, not having played in10 yrs. or more. But actually I really like it now and I feel much healthier. At least my kids get a good laugh.

I played college soccer and I train with others for running and downhill mountain biking. I'm more of a lone sport kind of gal though.

Ouch!
I compete in martial arts tournaments (adult sparring, 40-49 yrs. old, over 176 lbs.).
I would recommend a cold compress until about 48 hrs.
If you're still swollen after that, see your doctor.
Stiffness lasts about a week for me (I'm 49 yrs. old).
Ibuprofen (Advil) works really well for me.
Hang in there, okay?

Never. I don't discourage them. But I don't like most of them.
Basketball, Football, Hockey and Golf can go somewhere, and I wouldn't care.
Now Baseball & Soccer? BRING IT ON!
