How has his presidency helped Christians in general and the cause of Jesus Christ. As a Christian, I have never been more disappointed with a leader than the current president. I served 23 years in USAF and I never experienced such hate toward us Americans.
Is this what Christ taught us, to bully people and impose personal beliefs on others?
Why did you suburban women vote for Bush? Because you wanted more SUV's, clothes, shoes and spend $50 bleaching your hair blonde while women around the world are dying of poverty and lack of healthcare? Is shopping at the mall so necessary?

Please explain women?

Firstly, the second part of your question makes you sound like an idiot.

Secondly, John Kerry was pro-abortion. Most Christians don't like the idea of killing babies.

The hypocrisy of politics is not owned by any party.

If you were in the USAF for 23 years, you know that this country has been envied and hated for a long, long time. My husband is retired military, too.

I'm not particularly giving much of a damn about what other countries think of our leadership. It isn't like they have our best interest at heart.

I vote Republican because the other party wants to dig too deep into my wallet to pay for interests I do not support, I do not believe are in the best interest of our country, or to support obviously unsustainable solutions for legitimate social problems, without factoring personal accountability for all. Others may disagree...that's ok. That's a right you and my husband devoted a good portion of your lives to protect.

Why pick on suburban women? How many of the Hollywood elite who claim to care so much about the hungry, impoverished peoples of the world spend thousands to eat at posh restaurants, shop at trendy stores?

The answer to these problems lies in no government. If you really are a Christian, you should know that. It is the church that has abdicated its responsiblity to care for the poor. That is who was charged with the responsibility. Not the state.

Is George Bush a christian? NO HE ISN'T, he calls himself christian, he loves war, Do you know that he was the only governor in United States to sign more applications for executions than anybody else?, the people who voted him are not christians, REAL CHRISTIANS are against war, suffering, death, I can tell you that not all the people in US voted in the last elections, only 68% voted, and from those votes only a part of it voted for George Bush. That means that in reality he hasn't won all the votes of the country, that happened exactly in United Kingdom, Blair was relected but not with all the votes of the country, only 40% voted. So don't get dissappointed with the christians, the real christians didn't vote for him , hope this nightmare ends up soon and we can live in peace not only us but the generations to come, let's have faith in the LORD, he is looking and judging who is bad and who is good, keep on praying and our wishes will come true, be pacience and lenient. God bless you.

American people thought he was cool. How were they to know?

Not all suburban women are Christian. The USAF is not the whole of America. Every female loves something to drive in, clothes, shoes, doing their hair and shopping at the mall. If you say you don't then you're either weird or a liar.

Nobody knew George Bush was going to kill innocent people. And finally, George Bush does not decide whether or not you get lots of money to go out and have fun.

This is a very interesting question.

I love how Christian's vote for Republicans for reasons like: "He was against the abortion pill."
Do you even realize the insanity of that statement? So instead of an abortion pill he has basically given the okay to go ahead and perform an abortion on an entire country of already-living children so how do you feel about it now?
The fact that Bush capitalized on the horrific event of 9/11 and used it's name to further his and his cronies own special interests. He used it to fund his retirement and make the rich even richer and CONTINUES to capitalize on this like the rest of America is stupid, we are NOT stupid, we have become complacent and there is a big difference.

I am Christian and attended Christian schools during my youth and I have seen not on iota of evidence that President (in the loosest of terms) Bush displays any morals that Christians across the US can relate to. Yet most continue to support the GOP because their parents before them did and because they are taught in white america that this is what God would want. And because they are fed things like abortion is the only issue. What about genocide? What about learning about a candidate's entire platform before you go and vote (by the way, without getting too conspiracy theory, Bush didn't win and we allll know it).

You can BE Christian and have your own mind. Think about the direction you want your country to move in, one that everyone can be proud of and live peacefully and fairly and take action and be informed, that's what - I believe - God would want.

Since I am not Woman, I can not explain the last part. But your question is: "Whyd did Christian people vote for George Bush?"
I would say because he is far more Christian than his predecesor! That is obvious! Wild Bill was the biggest liar I have ever heard of in my entire life.
President Bush does not bully any one or expect them to accept his personal beliefs (which are far purer than the President before him, or Sen. Kennedy, or Sen. Pelosi or a whole bunch others that I could name).
You invoke the name of Christ, yet you preach hate-mongering. Why is that?

I am a Christian woman and I did not vote for Bush. I am a brunette. Where do you get your information?

You're just asking for someone to agree with you. which I do not. This isn't the right approach for trying to find common ground. Get some friends and discuss it.

Oh, and I like how some ridiculous liberal went through and totally rated the left-winged comments positive.

See, this is a battle that you just want some people to agree with you!! Join a forum and try not to "discretely" voice your opinions over Yahoo Answers anymore.

I am NOT Christian. I am a woman. I DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM!!! I completely agree with you. They impeached Clinton for so much less than this bull****. Why aren't they doing it now?

Sorry, I feel rather strongly about this--believe it or not, he has PERSONALLY done something to someone I care very much about, and did it to them after they died. He is a horrible person and I have never been so disappointed in the American people.
